Description of Practice:
Pat LeBlanc is a prominent trial attorney in Louisiana and is one of the few women to direct and lead major defense litigation for national and international corporations. She has served a member of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and on the faculty of the Louisiana Defense Counsel Trial Academy. In 2000 she was selected as a Fellow in the Louisiana Bar Foundation. She is a Master in the John Boutall American Inns of Court.
Mrs. LeBlanc has tried cases as lead counsel in federal and state district courts throughout Louisiana. She has argued before the Appellate Courts of Louisiana, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. She has successfully defended claims against Mitsubishi Motors Ltd., Nissan North America, Royal Insurance Company, Isuzu Motors Ltd., Sears Roebuck, Daimler Chrysler Corporation, Danaher Tool Corporation, Freightliner Corporation, Fleetwood Homes, Interstate Trucking Corporation, The Lions Clubs of America and others. She has also successfully prosecuted civil damage claims for fraud and intentional misrepresentation in commercial transactions, product liability claims, and a variety of insurance claims.
Additionally, Mrs. LeBlanc is well known for her active role in civic, governmental and professional activities. In 2008 she was selected by Governor Bobby Jindal to serve as his appointee on the Louisiana Recovery Authority. In 2004 she was appointed by Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to serve on the Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission. As an appointee of the Parish President, she has twice chaired Jefferson's Home Rule Charter Advisory Board. She also currently chairs a private development campaign to support and expand the Drug court initiative in the Twenty Fourth Judicial District. She is the vice-chairman of the Board of Directors for a local hospital and is the only woman to serve on the Board of Directors for Jefferson's largest community bank.
Mrs. LeBlanc has been married for 33 years and has four children.
